QUOTE
“我将不会变得‘著名’或‘伟大’。可我要继续冒险,继续改变,开阔眼界,拒绝被人践踏,拒绝墨守成规。重要的是要释放自我,让它不受限制地找到自己的空间。”
BOOK INTRODUCTION
This invaluable guide delves into the art and mind of Virginia Woolf through her personal diary entries spanning twenty-seven years. It includes reflections on her own writing, insights into the raw material for her works, and comments on the books she was reading. Covering the period from 1918 until just before her death in 1941, this book reveals the private world—filled with anguish, triumph, and creative vision—of one of the twentieth century's greatest writers.
DESIGN THOUGHTS
Virginia Woolf was one of the first female writers I encountered, and her struggles resonated deeply with me as the struggles of all women. Her pain was a shared pain, a reflection of the collective female experience. Reading Woolf's diaries evokes a profound sense of female solidarity and understanding. Given the wealth of content, I chose to design the book in two volumes, bound together with an elegant slipcase. This design not only honors the depth and breadth of Woolf's thoughts but also creates a timeless keepsake for readers to cherish.
Paperback with dust jacket, 571 pages
Size: 155mm×230mm
