The Geometry of Grief reflects on loss and memory through the lens of mathematics, proposing that emotional experience may contain underlying structures similar to geometric forms.
The cover design adopts an extremely minimal visual language composed of three nested rectangles, creating a quiet inward movement across the surface. Their proportions and placement, together with the typography, follow a golden ratio–based composition.
Rendered entirely in black and white, the design reduces the visual language to simple geometric relationships. The receding rectangles suggest layers of space and reflection, echoing the book’s idea that even grief may possess an underlying structure.
